Of all the methods available today for changing and improving the look of teeth, veneers are among the most popular and successful with our patients. The process involves removing a small amount of tooth structure to make room for the veneers. The dental lab then fabricates custom-fit veneers from impressions. After placement, the veneers look like natural teeth and cover any imperfections to your real teeth. Some advantages of porcelain veneers include increased longevity, and resistance to staining.
Modern dental technology can reshape uneven teeth and veneer them with high-tech ceramic. The result will give the appearance and function of a symmetrical smile. For many adults, this option is better than traditional orthodontics, and treatments can be completed in as little as two visits.
Smile design is a conservative, non-aggressive way to rejuvenate your smile. Veneers work well for tooth reshaping and resizing. Veneers are an attractive way to rejuvenate your smile because they achieve a very natural look with minimal tooth preparation (shaping).
The best use for bonding is to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or misaligned teeth. Bonding involves placing tooth colored composite material onto the tooth. The advantages of bonding is that it is inexpensive and an ultra conservative way to restore a tooth. Bonding will discolor and is easier to break, however.
Tooth-colored filling or porcelain bonded restorations offer a natural looking alternative to metal fillings. They keep teeth protected after decaying material has been removed, and replace it with a matching, uniform look. They also eliminate the potential side-effects that may be related to the mercury in amalgam fillings.
Many restorations are fabricated using a metal lining covered with porcelain. These types of crowns are used because they are cost effective and easy to place in the mouth. They appear opaque because they do not let light pass through as a natural tooth does. There is often a dark or gray line next to the gum-line. We provide exclusively all porcelain-bonded restorations. When properly placed, they are strong and have the natural appearance of a real tooth.
A Bridge is a custom device anchored to neighboring teeth that replaces one or more missing teeth. Crowns and bridges are most commonly prepared from high quality materials such as semiprecious or precious metals, porcelain, or a fused combination of the two. Aesthetics, function, and tissue compatibility are considered when selecting the material most suitable for a bridge.
Full Mouth Restoration
Full Mouth restoration involves restoring the teeth, bite, and muscle back to a natural looking and youthful condition. Using computerized technology and an artistic eye, full mouth restoration offers a solution to multiple problems, such as heat-sensitive teeth, sore jaw muscles, and recurring headaches.
Invisalign is a clear plastic tray custom fit to your teeth that gently corrects their alignment. Every two weeks these trays are changed for the next fit, smoothly moving crooked and misaligned teeth into place. They are nearly invisible, so the are a highly-preferred alternative to metal braces.
Neuromuscular dentistry is the science of using the relaxed position of muscles in the head and neck to place the jaw into an optimal position. Thirty years of research and clinical experience have proven the technique effective in treating patients with various levels of head and neck pain. It is also used in finding the optimal jaw position before restorative dentistry. It can greatly increase the longevity of restorations and natural dentition.
Teeth whitening is one of the most popular areas of cosmetic dentistry. Even subtle changes in shading can make someone look years younger. Several factors can contribute to the darkening of teeth, including the effects of age, certain foods and drinks, smoking, and medications. We offer deep-down whitening to improve the look of your smile.
Agility Guard | Mouthguard
Both the PHI and TROPHY AgilityGuards are available in either contact or non-contact formats:
The Non-Contact/Training: AgilityGuard is designed for use on lower teeth. It is typically used in light-contact sports (e.g. golf, soccer, running) as well as in most training and practice situations.
The Contact: Protective guard covers the upper teeth. It is used in full-contact sports that typically require a mouthguard to protect teeth from damage (e.g. football, hockey, boxing, MMA). This mouthguard maintains all of the performance attributes of AgilityGuard with additional protection from contact damage.
